Are Those Really the Lyrics?

Sometimes misunderstood lyrics are better, or at least funnier, and to my disposition funnier almost always means better, than the original lyrics. The most famous misunderstood lyric is Jimmi Hendrix's famous wail of "Excuse me while I kiss this guy." He may have meant that he needed privacy to kiss the sky, but who cares. It's much more interesting the wrong way. Another misheard lyric isn't quite as famous and may be only something I thought, but I always thought that AC/DC's "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" was actually "Dirty Deeds and the Dunder Chief." I'm not sure what the dunder was referring to, but I kind of assumed it was about a guy nicknamed Dirty Deeds and his buddy Dunder Chief.

Still, I'm not sure that any of those are as funny as the video from a link I saw on the forums over at Ratebeer.com. Basically, the video puts still images and text for misheard lyrics to the Pearl Jam song, "Yellow Ledbetter". With the exceptions of the horribly stupid references to Icee drinks and democrats (via the abbreviated "dems" nickname") that seem incredibly forced, these are great lyrics. What makes them better is the fact that you really can't tell that these aren't the real lyrics in several places (especially the bit about Anna Nicole and her mother). Seriously, you have to watch this so I'll post the link again.

In high school I knew this girl who thought the words to that TLC song "Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls" were actually "Don't Go Jason, Waterfalls." For years afterward, whenever she left a room someone would inevitably shout, "Don't go, Melissa! LAKES!"
