I've been running a high fever for the past couple of days. Today it reached 103.7 F. It's kind of entertaining to observed the cycles of intense shivers as my body ramps its internal thermostat up six degrees followed by the intense sweats as the Tylenol kicks in and takes it back down a few notches. Actually, yesterday and earlier today I was working with regular Tylenol Cold and Sinus and I could only get my fever down to 101 for about four hours. K brought home the big cooling guns (Extra Strength Tylenol) after school today. Those pills are much larger and get the furnaces down to only about 99.
Honestly, I have a bit of a sense of being ripped off because I've not had any weird dreams or hallucinations and it's not every day that you get a fever that high. And does anyone know a what point the fever starts making you go retarded? I'd like to avoid that.
I actually meant to go to the doctor today. The only problem was that while waiting for the office to open, I fell asleep and didn't wake up until close to their regular closing time. I'm aware that meant that I was asleep at least 16 of the past 24 hours, but fevers tend to do that to you. Turns out that the doctor that I usually go to was closed all day anyway. I'll either have to go to that weird old doctor who opens at midnight and closes before the sun comes up, but probably not. I don't think I can stay awake that long.

It's best you stay in bed anyway... I would hate for you to be one of those people spreading disease.
