A Freebie for Mickey

This is someone transiting the Camanito del Rey in Spain at El Chorro, supposedly one of the best climbing spots in Europe. Watch carefully for the guy who could pass for a Mickey lookalike until he turns around to face the camera.

Here's the page where I originally saw this video. The guy has some other rock climbing videos as well.

I would have enjoyed looking at your video. Too bad this laptop can't handle video or audio.

This was just scary! I don't think I would have liked walking along that crumbling walkway that high up!

Yes, that was a little nerve-wracking. I hope the guy had a helmet-cam, because it made me very nervous to think of him using one hand to hold the camera.

On the other hand, it felt a little like a video game. I kept waiting for a one-eyed monster to leap out from around a corner, and I would have to kill it with only the dagger strapped to my ankle.

I hope nothing super cool happens at the end, because I don't have the patience to wait for it all to load on our spotty connection. We got about halfway through. I kept waiting for the dude to jump.

Thanks for the freebie, though. Could you imagine a place like that ever being left open to the public in the US?

Chris: If you look carefully at the shadow, it looks like he make have it on a chest harness. His hands look to be free.

Mickey: It is closed to the public, but tourists who like to be extreme still find there way to it. It was closed in 2000 or so when four people died on it.
