He Asked for It. Well, He Got It.

My blog came up for review over at Ask and Ye Shall Receive today. I somehow stumbled across this blog-that-reviews-blogs a couple of months ago and because it was the middle of the night and I had been drinking, I submitted my little jumble of ramblings for review. Honestly, I was a little concerned. There is a lot of valid feedback included in most of these reviews, but they freely and gleefully rape the lesser citizens of the blogosphere. I was a little afraid that the typical lengths of my posts and the eclecticism and eccentricity of my blog could potentially turn me into the butt of their joke, but I can handle it. My writing has been the butt of jokes for my friends for years now. I'm used to it.

Turns out that I didn't need to be so worried. The review was a qualified love fest. Calamity digs my writing, doesn't mind the sheer wall of words I tend to build with each post, and apparently she thinks I'm intelligent and funny, but too consistently long-winded and boring on the design front. I think that pretty much sums this blog up. I'm so amazingly glorious in my writerly persona that I have to suck it up somewhere to keep from causing you all to stroke out.

You know it's true. Don't deny that reading this blog gets you a little turned on. Seriously, I bet you're blushing a little right now.

Just found you from Ask. Congrats on a good review! I hope you liked the West. I moved to Utah a couple of years ago, and I haven't looked back.

Hi Jacob,
Congratulations on your review...isn't it great to feel the love from Calamity? I look forward to reading more, especially once football season starts. Are you a Dawg fan like your buddy A Free Man?

You only mentioned getting turned on in your last paragraph because so many Ask readers said your blog needed more sex. Ask me? I think that after the kind of love-fest you saw over there, you would be more cuddly than turned on.

I'm glad that you got a good review. Just don't let it go to your head.

Congrats, man. You deserve every one of those difficult to earn stars. Kudos.

What is your college football allegiance, by the way? We might not can be friends anymore after the season starts.

I found your blog through Ask this morning, too. I stumbled around a bit and I've really liked everything I've read so far. Looking forward to more. Glad you decided to drunk-submit. :)

My college football allegiance is Georgia Tech. I planned on going there until my senior year when I decided to go for journalism instead of computer engineering and two of my cousins and best friend went there. I even lived in a house of Tech students in a neighborhood of Tech students and non-Arab Muslims after I graduated college. My school had no football.

But because I didn't get the full indoctrination by going to Tech, I only hate UGA when they play Tech.

Jacob sides with me on the football field. Suck it, A Free Man.

And congrats on the love-fest. That's the nicest review I've ever read on AAYSR. (All true, of course.)

Great, even more reason to be full of yourself!

Just kidding! Congrats on the good review. And yeah, we'd stroke out if your blog looked as good as it is written.
